Lyrra is a young and talented choreographer/dance instructor of many dance studios here in the city.

She began dancing at the age of 9 and slowly gained focus on street styles such as Hip-Hop, Choreography, and Street Jazz. She fell in love with Hip-Hop after doing workshops and drop-in classes around the city and has since trained with various notable dancers. At 13 years old, she volunteered for the Saskatoon Open Door Society, teaching and assisting Hip-Hop classes for youth. A year later, she became their full-time Hip-Hop instructor and director. Lyrra also began to choreograph and perform for numerous events and groups, including the Saskatoon Snow Show, Debuts, among other formal gatherings and charitable events. She has received choreography awards and special recognition for her work, especially in the 2022 dance competition season with VIBEyxe. Currently, Lyrra instructs dance at VIBEyxe, as well as volunteers for MyHumanitas to bring dance opportunities for youth. She also dances for the “Flip Kidz,” a dance crew founded to share and celebrate culture through Hip-Hop. She continues to venture out and educate herself about Hip-Hop while sharing her love for dance with others through performing and teaching!
